Due to an increase of workload, our client is looking to recruit a Site Investigation Engineer with at least 2-5 years’ experience for both on-site and office-based duties located within North & West Yorkshire.

Job Description
The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in contaminated land, remediation, regeneration, logging, sampling and testing tasks which meet company requirements and UK standards of codes of practice.
Your main duties will include supervising site and ground investigations and directing junior engineers with each mandatory task. You will write accurate and interpretive reports that meet company requirements and UK standards of codes of practice and deliver them to senior engineers and project managers. Your role also involves intrusive site investigations, sampling and testing soils and rocks in laboratories. As part of your role, you will conduct the logging of trial pits and provide technical actions to undertake borehole, rock & soil logging. You will evaluate the likelihood of finding natural or industrial disturbances and contamination within the field and will conclude it with the correct suitable remediation & regeneration processes, as well as determine requirements for further investigations.
In addition to your duties, you will conduct health and safety documents according to company requirements and UK standards of codes of practice as well as collect data and execute desk studies for designated projects. Lastly, you are to update and ensure team & project leaders on project progress using effective communication.
Projects
Our client has contributed many services for some of the most iconic projects worldwide. They have carried out soil and groundwater remediation for a contaminated petro-chemical facility to providing remedial assessments and controlled remedial actions for a coalmine, to identifying and collecting contaminated samples and intrusive site investigations for a river in North and South America.
